Jewellery Care

How to care for your jewellery:

Due to the nature of handmade pieces and natural materials used, it is highly important that you handle your jewellery with care. When handling jewellery with crystals, be cautious not to drop it on the floor, as the delicate nature of the crystals can lead to breakage.

Stainless Steel

While Stainless Steel pieces are highly durable and very resistant from tarnishing, we recommend:

⟡ Taking off your jewellery before entering the sea as dried seawater can be damaging to the jewellery. Don't worry if you do, be sure to rinse off with water after.

⟡  Avoid harsh chemicals, such as perfumes, hair spray, or lotions - we recommend putting on jewellery last!

⟡  Handle them gently, as they are handmade items

⟡ Store your jewellery in a jewellery box/pouch, like the cotton pouch that came with your order

Sterling Silver 925

The more you wear your silver piece, the shinier they get due to the natural oil our skin produces that moisturises the metal! Leaving your silver jewellery out on a shelf open air will speed up the tarnishing process. When you notice your piece getting darker, it can easily be cleaned up with silver polishing cloth :)

18k Gold Vermeil

Our Gold Vermeil pieces are crafted with a thick layer of 18K gold over sterling silver, offering the beauty of solid gold at a more accessible price.

Like all gold-plated jewellery, Gold Vermeil will naturally develop signs of wear over time. How long the gold finish lasts depends on factors such as skin chemistry, frequency of wear, and exposure to water, sweat, perfumes, lotions, and other chemicals. This is a normal characteristic of Gold Vermeil and not a defect.

To help your jewellery stay beautiful for longer:

Remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.

Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, sunscreen, and cleaning products.

Put your jewellery on last when getting ready.

Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth given after wearing to remove oils and moisture.

Store it in a dry place, preferably in our cotton pouch or jewellery box provided, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

With proper care, your Gold Vermeil jewellery can maintain its beautiful finish for years.
